This release begins the reliability phase. It is not a 1.0 or security-certification claim.
- Stable verified Windows launcher with atomic version selection, previous-version retention and repaired shortcut targets; running version/update state in the editor.
- Private Forgejo release detection, encrypted repository-token prompt, bounded verified downloads, side-by-side installation, explicit unsigned-beta consent and optional pinned Ed25519 verification.
- External-agent Fix with AI model/effort settings where supported, no-inference health checks and clearer connection errors. One live synthetic Codex proposal tested; Claude/ACP remain pending installed authenticated adapters.
- Git message-only amendment for eligible local HEAD commits, reviewed hunk staging/unstaging, merge-editor links and keyboard/accessibility improvements. No automatic pushes or published-history rewrites.
- Source publication audit, pinned upstream source revision and clean-build/release gates. See
CI.mdfor required runner setup and actual evidence boundaries.
Known limits: publisher/Authenticode signing needs owner credentials; the first-launch Chromium encrypted-key crash-durability issue is not resolved; macOS/Linux release artifacts are not produced; no WSL feature was added. Old-version cleanup is review-only. Full fresh native-build and residual dependency findings must be read from the recorded verification/security reports, not inferred from the presence of workflow files.
See
UPDATES.mdfor private update access, safe switching and rollback. The stable launcher deliberately verifies the complete immutable file ledger at startup and refuses to forward into an older running app. Save and close all Positron windows before switching.Downloads
