    Project Manager is now Rhyolite. This Linux release includes builds for x64 (Intel and AMD) and ARM64. Existing installations reopen their vault and settings and retain access to saved sync credentials. New installations create a vault in Documents/Rhyolite.

    Debian and Ubuntu

    Download the .deb matching dpkg --print-architecture: amd64 for Intel or AMD PCs, or arm64 for 64-bit ARM. From the download directory, run:

    sudo apt install ./rhyolite_1.7.1_$(dpkg --print-architecture).deb

    Start Rhyolite from the applications menu or run rhyolite. To verify the package, download SHA256SUMS-deb-1.7.1.txt alongside it and run sha256sum --check --ignore-missing SHA256SUMS-deb-1.7.1.txt.

    Portable Linux archives

    Download the archive for your architecture and extract it. Open the extracted folder and run ./rhyolite.

    To verify your download, save SHA256SUMS-linux-1.7.1.txt alongside the archive and run sha256sum --check --ignore-missing SHA256SUMS-linux-1.7.1.txt.

    Brand

    • New "stacked project planes" mark, shared by the titlebar, boot splash, app icon, and Windows installer icon.
    • Reproducible multi-resolution icon.ico.

    Notes

    • Obsidian-style live-preview editor: every block renders normally, and clicking one reveals only that block's markdown source in place.
    • View mode is the same article with editing disabled, not a separate reader.
    • Per-line font formatting from the Type control, persisted as portable <span class="pm-font-..."> markdown spans. Default removes the span.
    • Cleaner note header, metadata, toolbar, outline, and backlinks.

    Overview

    • Hero shell paints immediately; three.js is prefetched during boot idle and WebGL initializes after first paint.
    • Cold live-WebGL time roughly halved and the main long task cut substantially; warm revisits are faster still.
    • Fixed descender clipping in project titles while preserving the two-line clamp.

    Sheets

    • New sheets are genuinely blank: no sample headers, no placeholder rows, usable empty grid.

    Docs

    • Note format, live editing model, and per-line font syntax documented in docs/NOTES.md.

    Notes format
